Founding Years (1985)
Universitas Nusantara was founded on September 12, 1985, by visionary scholars, scientists, and cultural leaders. Starting as an Institute of Technology and Social Sciences with an initial cohort of 350 students, the institution quickly expanded to address the nation's burgeoning industrial and technological needs.
Expansion & Consolidation (1995–2010)
In 1995, the institution formally achieved full university status, establishing the Faculty of Computer Science, the Faculty of Economics & Business, and the Faculty of Medicine. A comprehensive 65-hectare master campus was developed under the Smart & Green Campus initiative, harmonizing natural ecology with modern research facilities.
Journey Toward World Class Recognition (2011–Present)
Since 2011, Universitas Nusantara has accelerated global internationalization by launching International Undergraduate Programs, securing premier international accreditations such as ABET and ASIIN, and establishing collaborative research agreements across 25 nations. Today, the university educates over 28,000 students across 6 faculties and 45 degree programs.
